Volcane Spins

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Volcane Spins is one of those games that looks simple for about ten seconds and then quietly hooks you. You tap to spin rows of colorful tiles, and when three or more line up they clear and send a little cascade down the board. The volcano theme is mostly visual flair, but the eruptions that fire when you clear a big combo feel genuinely satisfying.

Controls are all single-tap and swipe, which makes it a perfect one-handed game. The early levels teach you the rhythm gently, and by the time new tile types appear you already understand the basics. We liked that it never dumps a wall of rules on you — it lets you learn by doing.

After a week with it, the thing that stuck with us was the pacing. Each level is short, so it's easy to tell yourself 'one more round' and suddenly lose half an hour. The difficulty curve is fair, and the puzzle layouts feel designed rather than random.
