Six games we keep playing one-handed
A good mobile game respects the fact that you might be holding a coffee in your other hand. We put together a short list of the games we actually kept on our phones because they play comfortably with one thumb.
Volcane Spins makes the list easily — its tap-and-swipe matching never needs two hands, and the short levels fit a single tram stop. It's become our go-to when we only have a couple of minutes.
Neon Dash Circuit surprised us, since racers usually want two thumbs, but its touch-steering mode works fine one-handed once you stop over-correcting. Skyport Tycoon is pure one-thumb tapping and menus, perfect for a slow evening.
On the slower end, Lantern Hollow asks nothing of your reflexes, so you can poke around the forest at any pace with a single thumb. We wouldn't recommend one-handed RPG combat in Emberfall Saga, though — that one deserves your full attention.
The common thread is design that assumes you're distracted. The best mobile games meet you where you are, and all of these do.
